Sex work is work.
Let Louisiana legislators know they must decriminalize sex work.
What to say in your postcard statement
Here are some examples of the main talking points to get across in your postcard letter. Feel free to reference our toolkit and personalize your postcard as much as possible while sticking to these main talking points:
Sex work is work. Sex workers, like all workers, deserve the right to a safe workplace without fear of violence or arrest.
The decriminalization of sex work will strengthen the work to end sex trafficking by allowing workers to safely screen clients and report coercive agents without fear of criminalization.
Decriminalization lessens the burdens of criminalization and its collateral consequences that Black/African people, Indigenous people, Asian people, migrants, and transgender people face in the State of Louisiana
Decriminalizing sex work is the only way to protect the rights of all Louisiana workers.
